        The Montana Mentor Institute 2008 ñ The Art and Science of Teacher Mentoring will be held August 12-14, 2008, at MSU-Billings, Student Union Building. The annual mentor institute provides best-practice instruction to develop teachers as high-quality teacher mentors, and promotes mentoring programs as a tool for increased student achievement and enhanced teacher retention.
Participants will have extended opportunities to learn and practice mentor skills and learn practical applications. In addition, participants will learn best-practices in developing a teacher mentor program for their school or district.

The Institute is sponsored by the OPI ESEA Title I - Part A Programs, Montanaís State Personnel Development Grant, ESEA - Title II Part A State-Level Activities, Comprehensive System of Personnel Development (CSPD) Region III and MEA-MFT.
