Please read and carefully follow these instructions to register as a new METNET User.

You should register on METNET if you are:

  • A Certificated Montana Teacher

  • School Administrator

  • School Support Staff

  • Participating in a Distance Learning Class from Montana State University

Once you register and Login to METNET a web page/desktop is generated specially tailored for your account. If you're registered with one of our distance learning classes, an icon for that class will be displayed on your desktop. Confidential school price lists, interactive learning modules, the Global Village education community and e-mail are available to Montana certified teachers and administrators.

METNET is a free full service e-mail and Web server for certified Montana educators. Registered users have the ability to create and maintain their own Web pages. In addition we are a NEWS, SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, Finger, and LDAP server that can be configured to gather e-mail to and from other mail servers. This allows you to have a single e-mail account that manages all of your e-mail needs. For help configuring your e-mail account, please see the Areas within METNET Services menu above.

-- Complete the form - all red colored fields marked with a * must be filled in.

NOTE: We are sorry, but we can't create an account for you without your folio number, which is located on your Montana Teaching Certificate.

-- After you have completed the form, click the Register button.
-- A confirmation screen will appear - click on the "/Login/Mailbox" link to continue.
-- The information you enter will never be used outside of METNET.
